Mette Homar

Mette Homar (b. 1974, Funen) is educated from University of Gothenburg, Faculty of Fine Arts (SE) and from Design School Kolding (DK). She has developed her artistic language processed in painting with oil pastel on large format paper.
Her works presents nature settings seen through a lens of heightened reality, illuminating an inner experience of nature rather than its outward form alone. She works intuitively and outside the pre-defined and the controlled, balancing her work between figuration and abstraction.
